Spring Inspirations [Day 31]

In the beginning… have you ever stopped to wonder about why God ever decided to tell us His story?  I mean really?  The all-powerful creator of the universe, who made everything out of nothing, He wanted you to know Him!?  He didn’t write to the trees or the birds or the whales.  He didn’t even leave it up to man to tell His story from one generation to the next, because He wanted to make sure we knew Him.  One day He whispered to His friend Moses: “hey buddy, will you do me a favor?” Moses:  “Sure Lord, anything.” God: “I’ve got some stuff I want you to write down.” There the story began to be written, and here we are reading it today.   WOW!!!

In the beginning, before everything else, when it was just the Trinity hanging out with no one and nothing else.  Peaceful.  I don’t know what they did back then because they had no one to help, no one to guide, no creation to keep in place.  There was no one to visit, nothing to sit back and admire, just the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I have to say that I’ve never taken the time to ponder God before creation, have you?

I have many more questions than I do answers. You know I think it is OKAY with God for us to come to Him with our questions.  Questions are just part of the seeking process. (Jeremiah 29:13)

I have many more questions than answers so I’ll just leave a couple suggestions for you to add to your pondering list.

First, www.gotquestions.org is a wonderful resource for loads and loads of questions.  Precious Lord,  I am thankful for the many resources we have available today that make the study of scripture so much more accessible to everyone.

Second, every piece of creation that I see draws me to the creator. Look at this moon!  Isn’t it amazing?  Doesn’t it make you want to sit at Jesus’ feet and ask, how did you do that?  How does it spin?  Why did you make it out of cheese?  (just kidding)

All of creation should draw you to Him. (Romans 1:20)   I encourage you to take a walk or two this week and spend some time worshiping the maker. I encourage you to dig a little deeper to know Him more.  AND I encourage you to share some of your new found knowledge with someone. There is no better way to worship and honor the creator than to brag on Him to someone else.
