Romans 5-8

Wowsa! Loads and loads of information meets a really heavily scheduled week! Can you relate? Today will be a lesson in how to listen, learn, and apply God’s truth in a short amount of time. Join me for this short and sweet message about God’s amazing love.

I’ve read through these chapters several times now and I find a repeating theme of Sin & Death with Adam vs Righteousness & Life with Christ. Choose Jesus and receive all of the benefits for today and for eternity. Choose to deny Jesus and await the consequences allowed by your free will. Very black and very white and as much as like to gravitate toward shades of grey, I just don’t find anything about a happy medium in scripture, and most certainly not in these chapters.

What spoke to me this week, as someone who’s put their faith and trust in Jesus, is that I belong to Him. And He to me. We are not only connected, we are inseparable! Not only that but because of our connection, He has my heart, and I have so much more.

Here are a few of sweet benefits of the life given to a Christ-Follower written in Romans 5-8.

Romans 5:1 I am justified (declared righteous). Romans 5:9 I am saved from God’s wrath (we talked about that last week.) Romans 6:23 I have eternal life. Romans 8:1 I am not condemned. Romans 8:16-17 I am a daughter and heir. Romans 8:26 The Spirit of God prays for me, when I cannot pray. Romans 8:28 God is working every circumstance in my life for His good. Romans 8:34 Jesus is also praying for me. Romans 8:39 And NOTHING can separate me from the Love of God.

No thing, no one can rip me away from God. The benefits of my committed relationship to Him are endless. This reality supersedes every single circumstance of my every single day and this week I just want to remain overwhelmed and awed by His love. This is a rock on which I will build a life that matters. This is the only truth that will never change.

This is everything worth sharing, and everything I wish for you!
