New. [Lent Day 14]

You know there are just some days that the sky is crystal clear and the moon seems so close you could touch it. I see this surreal ball just hanging in the air, at least that is the way it struck me tonight as I worshiped the Creator.

I was reminded of how amazing my God is. How He continues to draw me in and call me into a deeper relationship with Him.

I thought of my current favorite song that speaks of all creation crying out in worship of its Creator. And could easily imagine how pleased God was with this moon tonight, how proudly it displayed His creativity and power.

I thought of how many thousand days times I’ve seen the moon and how unique it was in my sight today. It is was brand new. In fact it was so brand new that I ended up backwards in my driveway. (Ha ha don’t ask!) In my backwards state, I decided to do something else that was brand new to me…. back my car into the garage stall. Yes indeed. This was a first for me and it was a little bit exciting. At least enough to put a smile on my face when I successfully backed into the stall without a bit of damage. Which then led me right back to how God, His Word, and my relationship with Him is constantly new and fresh. His mercies are new. His grace is new. His provision is new.

It’s pretty amazing to share just the simple moments of life’s common every day experiences with others. I find God everywhere WHEN I am looking for Him, and that is another reason I’m thankful for this lent experience.

I hope you take some time to look for God and worship Him today and share that experience with someone else.
