About Grace

Welcome to Grace! We are a community of people who follow the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. It’s a journey of faith and we encourage you to consider joining us – making progress toward your God-given potential.

Grace is made up of people just like you – imperfect but seeking fulfillment, love, acceptance, and meaning in life. We believe that God is the source for all of these wants and needs and we unashamedly worship, champion, and serve Him.

Our reason for existence is to bring people into a personal relationship with God through a faith commitment to His son, Jesus. We desire these relationships to mature in knowledge and confidence in Him, resulting in each follower of Christ impacting their friends and family. In addition, we want you to connect with others in our church family, working alongside them with a team mindset, committed to God’s Kingdom agenda with a spirit of excellence. Your “growing” in the Christian faith, if genuine, will result in your “going” to others – and seeing God work in and through your life as He opens doors of opportunity to serve and make a difference.

Grace is a different type of church, not better than other churches. We believe that change is a positive term, that we should use contemporary methods, that small home care groups are the best way to build relationships and grow, that Christ is the answer to mankind’s deepest longings, and that we have an obligation to give our very best to the community in which God has placed us and in which we live.

As the pastor of Grace, I invite you to set aside any preconceived notions and past experiences concerning God and the church and come with an open mind. Grace Church may be the place where you will discover God, develop and deepen new and old relationships, determine your life purpose, and delight in life now and in the hope of eternity hereafter.

What you can expect.

Visiting a new church can be intimidating.  When are the services? What should I wear? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Just know that you can always contact us if you have other questions.

The services on Sundays for all ages start at 10:00 a.m.

Children, birth to 5th grade, will have an opportunity to learn through various activities in the west wing of our facility.  Meanwhile, the 6th grade students through adults will gather in our auditorium to worship, fellowship, pray and learn together.

We are pretty casual and like to wear the same kinds of clothes that most people would wear to school or work.

What we believe.

God is the personal knowable creator of all that exists and has chosen to reveal Himself, His acts, and purposes to humanity through our natural world, His Son, and the Bible. His plans for us are good as He stirs the events of history to draw mankind into an intimate and eternal relationship with Him.

The Old and New Testament Scriptures are given to us by God and are consistent with who He is. Without error and contradiction, they speak the truth and point people to Jesus Christ. The Bible takes precedence over culture, tradition and experience — both corporate and individual

All of creation and humankind exist to disclose God’s glory — His nature, desires and plans — and to respond to their Creator with wholehearted worship.

Humanity rebelled against God, His authority, and purposes and this resulted in a broken relationship with Him. As a result of mankind’s sin, death entered the world and all creation became subject to it, in this life and the next.  In spite of our sin, God’s love for us and for His creation continues to know no bounds.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who, along with the Holy Spirit, has existed co-equally through all eternity with God the Father. Jesus entered time and creation as a human being to reveal God and the nature of God’s kingdom to us.

God’s love compelled Him to deliver us from the consequences of our rebellion and to offer us an opportunity so that we may once again enter the loving relationship with Him that was His first intention for the world.

As part of God’s loving actions, Jesus willingly took the penalty for our rebellion on Himself and died on the cross. His death finally and completely paid for our sin and rebellion and provided a new nature whereby we can live with grateful obedience toward God.

Faith in Jesus and Jesus alone is the only way to be restored to a harmonious relationship with our creator Father. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, He opened God’s kingdom to us so that we may come into His presence as His forgiven and beloved sons and daughters.

God sends the Holy Spirit to live in those who acknowledge their rebellion and respond in repentance and faith to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the source of life and is our living connection to God the Father, to Jesus, and to other believers in the church.

The Holy Spirit works in the lives of believers to grow them toward being like Jesus. He works through each believer to nurture and mature the church through spiritual gifts.

As children of God, followers of Jesus Christ, and members of His spiritual family we are to prioritize all of our life around His Kingdom agenda. The local church is God’s chosen vehicle to mature believers spiritually, make disciples, and impact our culture.  As God’s people, we are to faithfully serve with a local church and walk with love and integrity before Him and our fellow believers so that the world may see the reality of God in us.

At the appointed time Jesus Christ will return to gather His people, judge the living and the dead, and fully establish His eternal kingdom.
